Had a Merry Christmas at the office yesterday. I'm not really a fan of holidays so it really doesn't matter if I spend it alone at the office. You may think that it's sad but hey, I got to avoid all those annoying beggars roaming our neighborhood and I did get my 'solace in shadows and road lights...'

One of my childhood friends added me in friendster this morning and it made me realize that I was the ugly duckling back then. Seriously. Not that I want to be a swan but its kinda depressing to know that almost all of my childhood buddies grew up to an 'artistahin' stature while I remained the ill idolizing commoner. Hahaha...
Oh, well...

I'm back at the office again.
'Solace in shadows and road lights that burn comforting thoughts... I am home.' is a line from one of my favorite Urbandub songs, A City of Sleeping Hearts. Lufet.
It may appear as if I like it here at the office but honestly, I don't. What I like is the fact that I can be alone and undisturbed in a comfortable environment while reflecting on things that were, things that will be, and things that I will eat later.
Visit my other blog, the side projects project, for more useless information. Emo crap stays here, non-emo crap goes there.

December 3, 2005 to December 17, 2006. I wonder what happened. Well, I guess we'll just leave it like that - like Jesus' days in the desert, this will be my mysterious year. Ha, ha, ha...
I guess I just didn't have the time, and the motivation, to update and fix this site. Links are still broken, comments remain unanswered, and posts remained drafts. It was a good thing that I remembered my password for blogger.com. I've got a lot of blogs set up back then and I can no longer access them. I forgot my passwords and the email address I've used to retrieve missing passwords have already gone kaput.
Of course, contrary to what I've said earlier, I won't let this year go by unrecorded.
So, in a nutshell...
Jan 2006 - I was busy protecting a friend. It’s a long story and I won't be elaborating further. Anyway, we've already lost contact with each other.
Feb 2006 - Life was miserable knowing that I was the worst performer on my team. Of course, I didn't give up without putting up a fight. Eventually I did give up but I promised myself that I will come back with a vengeance.
March 2006 - We were given a large amount of money as compensation for our hard work at the office. I was busy wasting it on gadgets and nonsense. (Ha, JPs, just in case you get to read this in the future, I got the spelling right! Come to think of it, whenever I see nonsense, I remember you. He, he, he...)
April, May 2006 - What was I doing back then?? All I can remember is DOTA! I had this uncontrollable need to be the best DOTA player - which I can never actually be. Stupid fingers can't even type right. By the way, for all you non-nerd readers, DOTA is an online multiplayer game.
June 2006 - Went to our office-sponsored summer outing in Subic. I got inspired again, finally, after 1 and a half years.
July 2006 - We switched teams at the office and I got under a different manager. Life was sweet. My time for payback has finally come.
Aug 2006 - Bought a second-hand '99 Civic. Got the realization that I am poor and I can't really afford it. Oh, well...
Sept 2006 - Effort. I was aiming for the Quarterly Incentives being offered at the office. Most people think I'm incapable but I myself know that I can achieve anything if I put my mind into it.
Oct 2006 - I was given my most hated task at the office. Handling reviewers was never easy. I was busy, I was tired, I was fearful, I was stressed, and I was unhappy. Adding insult to injury, we joined, and lost, a DOTA tournament.
November 2006 - My car kept on dying on me. Stupid car! I almost always had no money because of you.
December 2006 – Changes, jealousy, reward and hope.
In a nutshell... it was the same old, same old.
